If you struggle to keep your closets tidy, you are not alone!
Most homeowners understand the frustration of spending too much time looking for things in their closets. Closets are usually the messiest parts of people's homes - filled with clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. you don't ever use or even want! You don't realize how much space you are taking up with unnecessary items and usually only wear 20% of what you have.
Here are the reasons I hear most often from clients as to why they hang onto extra stuff:
I spent too much money.
What if it comes back in style?
I'll lose that weight.
My mom gave it to me/it has sentimental value.
Most of these reasons are based in some sort of guilt. It's difficult but we need to change our mindset. Someone else can appreciate and actually USE what you have!
You don't realize that not only are you taking up physical space in your closet you are also
taking up mental space in your life. After editing your closets, there are so many ways to maximize whatever space your closet provides! One simple solution that doubles your closet space is to use slim line hangers.
